Luling, Texas. We are now in the heart of Texas Barbecue. These pictures may not be suitable for vegetarians. In Luling Texas, there is an old school barbecue restaurant called City Market. You enter an air conditioned room and walk to the back to another room, the Pit. You go inside to the pit and order your barbecue from the Pit master. The pit is very hot and smokey. The Pit Master cuts your meat to order and places your meat on to a piece of brown waxed butcher paper and you pay, then retreat back to the air conditioned eating area. This was fantastic barbecue.
