We spent a few days in Washington, D.C. Lots of beautiful art at The National Gallery and lots of monuments and grand public buildings. We stayed on Pennsylvania Avenue close to the White House (picture of Emily under the awning with the flowers). There was a demonstration against US intervention in Syria ("They say more war, we say no more"). Things are actually tense around here on that score. Today we rented bikes from one of those machine rental units and toured all around Washington on a quiet Sunday at the end of summer (except that it was 90 degrees)

  1. Love the Washington pics! Brought back memories of our trip there last year. I don't think Jamie can hold the Capital Building in his hand as well as you, though, Dean.
All good in the neighbourhood - Emily your car still works! xo - Cathy and Jamie
